With the VISO TWO and VISO FIVE,  DVD/CD Receivers, NAD now offers the level of performance associated with NAD's highly acclaimed full-size separates in an elegant, compact design. Designed to complement today's advanced video displays, its graceful proportions and fine details make a sophisticated design statement. And unlike most other "all-in-one" systems, this NAD performs like an award winning NAD separate component. We have not made any performance compromises in our quest for convenience and style.

Unlike the usual Home Theater in a Box systems that include speakers (usually of questionable quality), the NAD VISO allows complete freedom to choose speakers that fit your decor and suite your taste in sound. New features for the VISO include Progressive Scan DVD with upscaling to 1080i with HDMI digital video output, simplified setup using the On Screen Display, and the inclusion of the latest virtual surround formats: Dolby Virtual Speaker gives a convincing surround effect with only two front speakers, and Dolby Headphone remarkable holographic surround effect from headphones.

NAD's Viso series on its interior technology: “On the digital side, the VISO FIVE combines extraordinarily high-speed DSP processing employing one of the most advanced high-speed DSP ‘engines’ available, with fully 24-bit, 192 kHz sampling-capable D/A converters for all channels. A single high precision master clock synchronizes all digital circuits to eliminate the timing errors (jitter) that otherwise compromise sonics.”

For your music, it'll play CD/-R/-RW and also DVD-Audio for exceptionally high fidelity sound. Even MP3 and WMA files can be played straight from the disc. If that weren't enough, there's also an FM & AM tuner built-in (with a DAB upgrade available). For your movies, the Viso Five will play your DVDs and also upscale them to 720p or even 1080i, so they'll look fantastic, especially on a large, HD Ready, flatscreen TV. DivX compatibility also enables playback of the popular video format often shared over the Internet.

For complete flexibility, the Viso Five includes a sophisticated remote control which can learn the signals of up to 8 other devices. That's right, you can control up to 8 devices with just the one remote. The handset is even backlit, so you'll easily be able to find the right button in the dark.
